Beautiful Bangladesh: Inside Sundarbans. Sundarbans is the world’s largest mangrove forest. It is one of the beautiful natural wonders of the whole world and world heritage site recognized by UNESCO in 1997. The Sundarbans is an extensive forest along with the coastal region of the Bay of Bengal in Bangladesh and India. It is related with Padma, Meghna and Brahmaputra river basins of Beautiful Bangladesh. The area of this forest extends across Khulna, Satkhira, and Bagerhat districts of Bangladesh.
Sundarban area also includes South 24 Parganas, North 24 Parganas districts of India. The area of this coastal mangrove forest is approximately 10,000 sq km long. Out of 10,000 sq km approximately Bangladesh got 6,000 sq km in the souther part with several district and the rest approximately 4,000 sq km got by India.
Though Sundarbans is located in both Bangladesh and India but a large number of its forest is inside Beautiful Bangladesh. It is a safe and suitable environment for Royal Bengal Tigers and many other wilds in the world. Once you would visit the Sundarbans then it would be a life time experience for you. That’s why Sundarbans is one of the best places which almost every tourist try to travel in Natural BD.
